There are four things in STEM, here is what they stand for:
- Science
- Technology
- Engineering
- Math
Science
Science is the action or behavior of anything , here are a few examples.
The behavior of human could sad, happy, angry, and more.
The action of an animal could be forceful, forceless, and more.
Technology
Technology is applying knowledge for practical purpose. For example, you may know how to make software. When you use that knowledge to solve a practical problem, like a baby monitor, it becomes technology.
Engineering
Engineering is all about applying science and math to build structures, products and systems. For example, how to build a bridge is science. Engineering is applying that knowledge to build a bridge over a river.
Also, you can touch a phone, those are made by an hardware company, or you can touch a computer, those are also made by an hardware company. Making these products needs engineering.
Math
You might know about math, like when you were in school. You do math, you learn math, you get math quizzes, it is all about the math. It is the science of numbers like additions, subtraction etc. The government decides what students should learn in each grade. Like the government says that in kindergarten, students should learn to add 3-digit-numbers.
